Field guide

Plan a perception pipeline around your environment.

The sensor, compute, output, and operational questions to bring to an architecture discussion.

Describe the operational question

Start with what the system needs to understand and which application consumes that understanding. A robot perception node, an industrial inspection cell, and a remote equipment monitor have different sensing and operational requirements.

Map inputs and compute

List sensor types, available interfaces, time sources, coordinate relationships, and expected deployment environments. Then identify local compute, model requirements, connectivity constraints, and the data you need to retain.

Define outputs and review

Decide whether downstream systems need detections, tracks, motion estimates, alerts, or other structured observations. Agree on how teams will inspect configuration, trace outputs, and validate behavior in the intended environment. A HoloNexa discussion can begin with this map, without sharing sensitive datasets.

These notes describe architectural principles from the HoloNexa company brief. Specific capabilities and deployment suitability require a project discussion.
